Somehow i still managed to go out around 6am in the morning to start shopping... Black friday is the friday after thanksgiving where most of the stores open really early and they have a ridiculous low prices! first i headed to best buy just to get a 8Gig memory card... i got it for only 24 bucks! and then i went to a different mall.. finding myself strolling trough rebel, active, hollister a&F and aeropostle and endup just buying a pair of pants, actually that my goal this time to buy some pants since i lost too much weight and most of my pants are too big now. Off i go to the next destination, i was planning to go to urban outfitters in Victoria Gardens when i decided to go straight to the desert and head to Cabazon. Since I did that dragon boat thing i lost interest in going to clubs but recently i've been going out to much and i need some new clothes bu the thing is I'm not into buying clothes anymore so i just ended up buying a couple of shirts, a sweater, 2 jeans and a compression shirt. the thing that pisses me off the most was A/X damn that place is a mess, people are stepping on the clothes that's why i didn't bother to look for my size. damn i'm broke again...

Ok i started my night by meeting people at Phong Dinh Restaurant, this place serves exotic foods lik kangaroo, alligator, frog legs and whatever stuffs but we came here for the baked catfish!!! damn this is the best catfish i ever had... i'm just so used to fried ones and fish sauce and lime...but it was kinda pricey 50 bucks for the catfish only and our bill ended up to 300 bucks...then after that we head to half and half tea house..then we headed to pasadena for some TACOS! oh shit these people can eat... like last time i joined a korean bbq eating contest and the winner is a girl and her husband.... and she's not even over weight... damn!

on the other side.. am still enjoying my car my latest experiment was driving it in the freeway wiht out using the gas pedal.. i went all the way with cruise control and accelerating everyting on the steering wheel... my old car doesn't have it so i'm trying to play around with it...

went to oktoberfest in huntington beach ended up too drunk... forgot how i got home, can't even remember the freeways i took on my way home.. woke up early on sunday morning for practice... but i'm kinda dehydrated from alcohol consumption and the bad thing is I was stroking for the boat which ended up pretty messy...i almost lost my paddle cause i was throwing it in the wate while the boat is moving.... went to lunch which ended up to be too pricey... the played some badminton where I broke my racquet so i have to buy a new one... total cost from my weekend? it's kinda close to my trip to SF

Just got back from SF cause we participated in the Kaiser Permanente Dragon Boat Festival….the drive is pretty tough since we are carrying other equipments too… but the whole festival was fun on our first day it was just all seeding and qualifying for the division which turned out pretty interesting since we finished two first and a second for our men’s boat which qualifies us for the next day race and not only that we got the 2^nd best time of the day… Sunday didn’t turn out pretty well since we didn’t win the men’s boat, but we won third on the out of town race and we had a couple more races which landed us at the final race of the day… in other words it’s the top 6 boats in the whole tournament… we got 5^th place which means we still have to work on a lot of things but I didn’t know that it’s that big of a deal to be on that race until our coached talked about it and no wonder one of my team mate is so stoked about participating that race… apparently our team used to win a lot but in lower division and it was the first time they got to that level… after that race I still want to get at least third place but we have to wait for next year to achieve that goal which means more hardcore workouts which would start tomorrow at work…. Basically I spent my 2 days just at the race site then at night I stuffed myself with some good food but it costs hundreds and hundreds for my whole vacation…went up to Sonoma valley for a day just to do some wine tasting….i'm done... too tired from driving....

as usual started my day with 3 donuts then went to practice.... did my time trial for 500M OC1 and finally i made it on the A boat! got 2:55 time and i got one of the best times! so it was worth it even tough i can barely move right now... so i skipped badminton...

yesterday was my first day for my new job.... i'm so excited i ended up late! hahahaha... actually i don't know what to expect in that company all i think about is the pay and it's very near my place... 10 miles!!! the place is pretty laid back.. and there are only four people in the lab... 2 tech and 2 chemist including me....so it's pretty boring....compared to my old work... well i'll get used to it... and it's easier and less stress...another good this is that they got a small gym where they have tread mills...punch bag...and whatever stuffs... i think i'll stick with this job for a while or maybe i'll try to enjoy it... cause it's day shift too.. i feel normal again...

friday was like graduation day for me... finally i don't have to work on that company anymore... sharing my work with such a bitch is just freaking stressful...

saturday was slack off day for me... all i did was ate chicken wings and sleep all day...

sunday paddled for almost 3 hours and our family had an early dinner or late lunch at a chinese restaurant which made me feel drowsy cause it packed with MSG.... on the way home my mom asked me to drop by costco to get some fruits then at the entrance i saw the canon rebel xsi kit for just 699.99... eventhough i dont have any plans to get a camera yet since i'm still waiting for my bills i ended up getting it.....after getting some fruits, meats and whatever stuffs I ended up with a bill of 900 bucks.... and they dont accept credit cards so there goes my paycheck....

finally the long beach viewsonic race is over and the good thing is we got medals in most of our divisions...we got bronze on women's, bronze on men's, bronze on master's, bronze on division 3 and a gold on division 1 though we didn't get anything for division 1 which is C boat(fun boat) which is for the newbies and recreational paddles we all had a great weekend... and i must say saturday was like heaven for us cause most of our boats finished first on all races....and it feels good to beat san diego on that heat in our men's division because it's the national team little did i know that they sneaked in some girls in the boat so on the finals they won and we got the third place and second was taken by dragon warriors which is the team that we are hosting for this event... and for out blue boat we got gold despite of some odd paddlers in the line up we still got the first with a big lead...we could celebrate for now... but we only got 10 more weeks before san francisco race... i got a lot of pounds to shed and more endurance training to do and so as for the team...

after 4 months without car wash i decided to clean my car... since it's 4th of july all i did was clean the car grilled some bbq and oysters and then eat!!! and had some kirin light...and i'm happy i can't drink as much anymore...cause i've been trying to live healthy as a result my nose haven't bled for 2 months...and that's it...

this day is a trip! it's almost the same freaking day but one thing changed the whole experience...

i started my day thinking that i will be spending around 1G for auto service cause it's long overdue now and i dont want to stall on the freeway.... well at least it got reduced to around 700 by removing some services.... and the bonus part they let me use their car so that i wont have to spend extra for car rental... i wasn't so thrilled when i saw the car, it's the first toyota mr2 and it's a stick shift(i haven't driven a stick shift in ages and since i started using automatic)....just driving to work and going home i was playing with the car... even though you feel every pebble you run on to... it made the whole driving experience a whole lot of fun....the car was shaky, loud(since the engine is at your back), old, and filthy...this car made me feel like i'm driving my 75' lancer or my first time driving... even the car was that bad, it's still a bit powerful so i was double clutching on the freeway and flooring it... but at the back of my head i'm praying not to stall, not to loose any axle, drop the engine,crash or simple DO not DIE....good thing i'm still alive and i hope i can get my car tomorrow or else i will get a car rental...1 day is enough for this car..

-in one week I drove more than 1000 miles so in less than a month i got to have and oil change again...

-played ultimate frisbee and got hit in the jaw(it was fucking hard)

-cancelled the hiking last sunday

-felt like an asshole for forgetting that it was the last day of my coworker last friday...

-walked around newport beach for 2 hours before coming to work last friday...

-had a good dinner at "shin sen gumi" but it was a bit expensive... they have the best yakitori...

I ended up 3 hills away to my destination.. supposedly I should end up below the hollywood sign where we will play some ultimate frisbee... but i ended up in a housing area in 90210...... maybe that's what you get in a cheap ass 200 bucks worth of a gps!...

I just remember I was eating a pear in the lunch room and you know how pears are wrapped with that fishnet like cushion to avoid bruising the fruit… then I just grabbed that thing and I asked some of my co-workers if they ever tried playing with those things… and one of the most stupid question was brought up to my attention… I don’t remember the exact words but it’s something like “don’t you ever have toys?”… something like that… I didn’t feel insulted with the question but I ended up with some conclusions why some people grew up not being creative at all… you can see it in a person… cause some people grew up spoiled having too much toys or some people just never developed the left side of their brain…some people don’t even know how to appreciate art… some people don’t know how to make one.. some people don’t even know what they want… so what am I saying here? I don’t know really… this thing just suddenly got into my mind… it’s 2 am I’m tired and I cant sleep… might as well get this of my brain.....let me share something… growing up.. I had these G.I. Joe’s and my favorite toy my die cast metal Voltron lion… but most of the time I find myself playing with stuffs lying around our shoe factory… rubbers, nails, cans, twigs I cant even remember what did I do with those stuffs,,, of course every time I get a new toy I’ll be al stoked about it and after a week I’ll forget about it or I already broke it… cause I just like to make things my way… I even remember carving an adobe with my name spelled on it… I wrote “lon” but the thing is I made the “N” backwards so I ended up making everything backwards… it should be still in my room unless those house keepers tought it’s a trash… one thing that I enjoy the most is making kites … I make one or two almost everyday….I’ll take all those newspapers in our house and the treads from the machines just so I can play all day… I even hurt myself trying to fly my kite cause there is no wind so I ended up running backwards and ended up rolling all over the street cause I hit a car parked in front of our house…there are too many things that I did when I was young… that I think affected that way that I think and up to now I enjoy making stuffs just for the hell of it.. or because I’m bored…even in the office… I’ll end up drawing on my benchsheets all day...and before I forget… this incident still pisses me off every time I remember this… I was on 5th grade… and we have to make a Christmas ornament as a project for this class and so I ended up making this bell made up of a dried butternut squash and dried luffa (patola) then I just tied it with some other stuffs… I think m project was awesome… but fuck! I got a passing grade… cause my stupid ignorant teacher think that I bought it… all trough out my study I encountered so may profs who tried to teach art but hell they don’t know shit… or they are too bookish… probably they are just full of their ego… and I think this whole blog doesn’t make any sense at all…it’s like a bunch of rants stapled together without order… I’m tired… thanks for wasting your time…oh.. maybe what I’m trying to explain how too much influence of these toys and computer games… most kids never had the chance to explore their creative side.. does it make sense??? Yeah whatever…. I just wasted around 10 minutes of your time…

just like any other saturday... i started my day by watching some movies and some sitcoms....then i decided to check out some katagami at Craft and folk art museum (CAFAM) it was a pretty intertesting exhibit but the thing that made me stay longer in that museum is not the art itself it was the security guard who happen to be a filipino... at first when i was passing by him... he asked me if i;m a japanese or a filipino... of course i said i'm a filipino... and everything started from there... he asked me where the hell i used to live in the philippines and i said pasig... and he told me that he worked in that area... and he started mentioning these companies that i never heard of and he asked me of my surname and he was telling me that my surname originates from his province and trying to convince me that we have the same province... but i grew up with out any province (i wish i had one) but i grew up in the city and my parents are from the same place so there is no way that any of my relatives roots from any province... but that's not all... he started sharing all these experiences of his in marikina (the town where my parents grew up) and he was telling me where he had his first experiences... (actually i just want to walk out from him)... he was telling all these vulgar words loudly but in filipino(take note we are inside the museum).... he kept on repeating "PUKE" and "kantot"... i think he is just a freaking pervert who want to show the world how many girl he banged despite his age... and he even told me that he banged a 17 year old at his age of 58.... i just kept on smiling all trough out the conversation... it lsted about 20 - 30 mins... and all the time it's about gambling and cheating on his wife... well.. maybe he just miss talking to a fellow filipino.. or maybe it's just in his nature to flaunt about his pervert adventure... but i dont care... he seems to be really friendly..... and its nice to meet a fellow filipino who greets a fellow kababayan once in a while even in the most weirdest places... so after that very unusual interaction... i went home... and try to get some rest after an hour and a half of drive from downt town...... so to prepare my self for some drinking at heroes cause it's the birthday of my officemate... cause i said i would try... and for the record i never flaked out on anything unless i say NO... but surprisingly i'm the only one who showed up for work... and so i just tried to finish two glasses of large beer that is pretty pricy but i dont care... i got my buzz anyway.....but still i just feel sad for that guy who was celebrating his birthday.. cause i the only one who showed up... and he is more closer to those other people at work.. maybe i'm the only one who got nothing to do that time... and yeah i look so stupid just drinking alone... cause i dont know anybody in there.... well.. there's always first time for everything.... and i swear this will not happen again.... if there would be a second time of me getting drunk alone in a bar... i will leave within the first minute.... putting everything aside... the only thing that's making me pretty fulfilled is my triple chilicheese burger from tommy's and a side of chilicheese fries.... TOO MUCH FAT AND CALORIES>>>>>it's done..now FUCK OFF!!! thanks for wasting youre time... (if there are typos shut up! im drunk!)

Every day I hear this acronym FOB which is labeled for Asians who migrated here…yeah I’m one of them… so what… I don’t care…. But it made me think… After staying here for more than a year now and be able to go around places… there’s nothing much that really interest me…when it comes to culture and food the best ones are the ones that originated from other countries… all American food wouldn’t amaze a foreigner’s palate I think… so what makes this place good after all? Is because of the merging of different cultures in one spot just like here in California? I remember a part of that line in THE GOOD SHEPERD when that Italian guy asked Matt Damon “you Americans what do you have?” and his only answer is “we have America and all of you are just visitors” which is true but these visitors are the one that brings life to this place… just go to down town LA, people don’t go there to see the buildings cause its ugly I think Makati looks better and more safe Ortigas too, people go there because of K town, Japanese mall, China town, clubs, and shopping…. So where am I going with these rants? Actually I have no idea…its up to you what to think… and by the way I don’t need any feed backs, cause I don’t think anyone would even bother to read this to start with…

Oh yeah! America occupied Philippines for 50 years(am I right?) it’s just I don’t remember anything that was added in our history except for the line of that Mc Arthur guy “I shall return”….

Every time someone asks me when will I go back to the Philippines, I want to answer them…NOW!!! The only thing that is holding me back is the political situation in there. Even though the government in here is not as good I’d rather stay here for a while for the simplest reason of being safe and earn something good. As much as I miss that country it’s the stupid things people do in there that makes the situation worse.

at last i have been able to cut my travel time by fifteen minutes... from 40 minutes i have been able to reach my house within 25.... but the thing is i was driving at an average of a hundred... with that i could get a ticket and i could be convicted with felony... but i'm just lucky i didn't get any ticket... though i wasn't as lucky at work.. cause i screwed up with some solutions that i have to prepare and i have to redo it tomorrow... well.. that's it... stupid eh?

since my dad doesn't take freeways i have to drive to Valencia cause they are having a small gathering with his classmates back in grade school.... i just cant believe how could they keep in touch with each other through these years... and they will have their 50th anniversary next year.... me and my dad are both into hanging out with friends but the difference between us is that i don't even bother to contact people who i haven't seen in years.... i can detach myself easily and most of the time i never try to exert some effort to have some sort of reunion... and i haven't been to any of my high school reunion... just because i don't give a damn... but seeing my dad and his friends get together and hear them talk about the good old days....they could even remember how they hate their classmate's mannerisms....and who wears shoes, bakya and who goes to school barefooted...(back in their days... shoes is a luxury....) it's just nice to see them still trying to connect with each other and just hang out.... they are all in their 60's and it think gatherings like this should be done religiously...... i bet my parents miss these kind of get together since they use to meet up with different friends twice or thrice a week with their friends in the Philippines.... sometimes they could even beat me on how often they hang out with their friends....well... its just a nice day....but the drive was soooo tiring... damn!

as i'm sitting here... typing sippin' my sapporo beer and draft sake.... enjoying a sake bomb.... i just got a great idea....

cause.. lately i've been eating a lot... just because there are nice food finds near my work... last time i went to Naan and kabob.... it's freakin great and for only 7.99 i got a whole lotta lovin' fucking rockin meal... wow.. it rhyme though it sounds cheesy....

back to my idea....

to those people who wants to loose weight fast you should try fruit and alcohol diet.... i dont know if it will work... but i'm sure it looks healthy cause of the fruits plus ur gonna enjoy it...being drunk while doing your diet is the best... i think there should be an alcohol drink that has 0% calories.... so that the calorie intake would only be coming from the fruits which makes it healthy.... hmm....

maybe just maybe.... in few weeks you will loose a whole lotta fuckin weight....
side effects... your internal organs are fucked up! and you are already an alcoholic.... nice....

i think i wont last in this job.... maybe few months..... i really dont know.... this is just not right.... my job title is lab technician... i got the degree... and some MS units... and i will be put as a lab tech... it's okay if they are paying me like 20 bucks per hour... but that's not the case.... and i talked to my manager... cause i'm doing an analyst job.... maybe for him its not a big deal... but it is for me.... and for the experience... it would be a plus... and its way too low... for me... cause i used to be a supervisor in the third world...now... i'm just planning to have my transcript evaluated so that i can have my degree qualified for the so called US standard or whatever they want to put it... it's like... wtf??? for me.... well.... i'll stick to this job as long as i haven't been able to find a better job than this...... it's just hard....

just this afternoon i dont know how and why it brought up... but it made me think.... what should i really do??? should i continue my masters here, take up some units for chem eng???... take up MBA? cause my bro in law is well paid in warner bros. which makes me think that if i want to earn big bucks i should take up some business course... how about accounting??? i know i can make it... how about arts??? should i do that just to male myself happy??? i'm a bit confused on what to do with this life.......everyday i want to do something new... i can never satisfy myself...just like what i posted earlier it's been like 2 weeks since i started with this job and i'm already bored... maybe because there's nothing new for me to learn....it's like most of the things that are being done in our section of the lab i have been able to do it or i already know whatever concept there is... i need something new... i need something to learn... i need something that would give mw new knowledge... not some crappy job like this....but i cant quit cause i need money to support myself....i dont live in philippines anymore.... i need to work to support myself any pay my share for the bills....some people think life is good here.... for me life is way better when i was living in the philppines... in there i got my own house....i got a car though its way to old....but i enjoy everyday living in my own place... here... the only thing that helps me make i trough the day is the idea of i need to earn something and i'm earning way better than my old job.. but i definitely miss PI... no doubt... classes are going to start soon... but i havent decided what to do next... maybe next year.. i'll enroll mysefl back to school.... but still i havent decided what to do with this life... oh... well... let's see...or maybe i'll just live my life back in the philippines.... i don't care if i start back from the bottom...

being a new guy in ca ompany is pretty hard to adjust with... being trained for techniques you already know is annoying... making you look stupid as if you dont know what you are doing is bitchin'.......it's just my second week... but i feel like quiting already... i dont know... but i'm just bored at work... 8 hrs... i'm just listening to my mp3 and to the murmurs of that Cambodian guy who is training me right now... i cant wait to move to another analysis and be trained there....but it's cool that every now and then i go out with my co-workers during break time... going to random places... cause i got no idea of the places to go there in irvine... actually that's the only thing that i like... eventhough i'm with the group.. i often find myself... looking far away... looking for something... and i not talking much... i dont know what happened to me... it's like i'm a different person already...it's been more than a year... since i left philippines... and a year with out social life... i dont go out... never been to a bar here in cali... it's not me anymore... maybe because i'm already used to living alone before.. an living with my parents is pretty hard to get used to... fuck this.... i wonder in 5 years in what country am i be living?moving from one place to another is kinda hard but i would like to experience every culture..... i dont care if i cant be thath rich... i dont really care about money....hmm.... how long will i stay in this company?i need working experience... so maybe a year or two? whatever...

i just decided to quit... yeah... i quit smoking today... i think this is the 3rd or fourth time.... and i hope it would be the last time..... i'm just sick of it....

on the other side of my effin' life....work is just boring.... i just dont know why did i took up CHEMISTRY..... f*ck this course... though i liked the subject.. but i need a better work.... i just need something else.......it's just fucking boring right now.... and it's been only like 2 weeks.... i wish i could go back to college and take up fine arts instead... any course that would be inclined to art.... cause upto now i haven't been able to let go of that dream.... just being an artist... or whatever you wanna call it... i just want to do something that's fulfilling... for me.....i'll stay in this job cause i need the money... yeah money is everything right now... maybe i would win if i try playing some lottery...

i just want to make a new blog... basically this will feature the boring adventures of a twisted chemist here in soCal... a new world for me here... it's like starting my life from zero....
